Claims Procedure - When a loss occurs;

In case of a loss, immediately notify the Stallion Insurance Brokers team;

Claims processing is the most important part of any insurance. In servicing an insurance policy, we ensure that all claims are handled and concluded with minimum delay.

Advice on Claims Procedure

  • Immediately contact our Claims Department immediately via telephone or other means to advise you on all or possible claims that you may wish to file.
  • Do not, under any circumstances, admit liability either verbally or in writing or by paying admission of guilt fines.
  • Note that the Insurance company reserves the right to assess any and all forms of loss that the insured has suffered.
  • The Insurance company has the right to choose between the available options i.e. Repair, Replacement, Reinstatement or Reimbursement by Cash.

Motor Accidents

Ensure that you do not....

  1. Do not dispose of damaged property and/or salvage until authorized to do so.
  2. Do not repair or replace lost or damaged property without obtaining authority from us or an Appointed Insurance Official (e.g. Loss Adjuster / Loss Assessor.)
Please ensure that the following information is obtained at the scene.
  1. The name of the Third Party, their insurance company as well as their contact address.
  2. The name/number of the Police Officer in attendance and the accident report reference number.

Fire Claim

Inform the authorities (Police Fire Brigade) immediately as you also try to put out the fire. The following shall be needed in order to process your claim further;

  1. Police report on the loss/ fire
  2. Stock list/ Stock reconciliation records for items that were damaged
  3. Quotations/ Invoices on replacement of the damaged items
Do not dispose of damaged property and/or salvage until authorized to do so.

  1. We shall ensure the prompt appointment of a loss adjuster or assessor where one is required and follow up to ascertain that the loss adjuster or assessor proceeds to visit the site of the loss or damage for investigation and/or assessment.
  2. Depending on the nature, magnitude or seriousness of the loss or damage, send a representative to the site
  3. Maintain a constant track of the Adjuster's investigation or adjustment of the loss
  4. Follow up the Insurance Company to ensure that where a claim has been fully documented, it is promptly settled.
